Florida Botanical Gardens

Went to the Florida Botanical Gardens on Saturday and brought the macro lens for the trip.

My wife salvaged it from the trash at Home Depot, I guess they thought it was dead. It opened up even more the next day.

Cutting edge technology (86/365)

Well it was cutting edge at some point. It’s an old CPU with a heatsink glued on it that I keep on my desk. Shot it on a table in the back yard facing the setting sun with my 105mm macro lens.

Turtle (73/365)

Lensbaby with macro filter. It sure is hard to get it in focus.

unknown flower (44/365)

Something growing in the backyard.

Pinecone (9/365)

Cone from an Australian pine. Small and awful to walk on barefoot. Picked it up and brought it home last time I was at Fort Desoto as I thought it was make a cool macro shot.

Lensbaby plus HDR

Shot this yesterday at Sunken Gardens with my Lensbaby with the +4 macro filter. HDR from three frames processed with Photomatix and CS5.

Shot at Sunken Gardens, St. Petersburg, Florida today with a Lensbaby with the macro filter. I should have taken a photo of the sign saying what kind of flower it is so I could tell you! 🙂
