365/365 – Stick a fork in it, I’m done

Had the stick a fork in it idea in my head for a few days. Got the cake idea from a friend and went with a cupcake. Prop cupcake from Publix, custom decorated. $0.84. Sweet! Publix bakery rules. My wife helped with the silver fork. Light from window light and a large white reflector.

364/365 – Crow

He seemed pretty interested in me, maybe I was too close to his favorite place to hang out.

363/365 – In the cold and the fog

Thirty degrees and foggy. So I stopped to take some photos. My hands were cold for hours. I need some better gloves for cold weather photography.

362/365 – Shockwave

Ripples on the water.

361/365 – Rush hour

Was getting some pictures of some ducks when all of a sudden all the ibises took off and left the area. I guess it was quitting time and they all had to get home.

360/365 – Smashed on the rocks

Down at the Fort Desoto fishing pier this afternoon in the blustery weather. Had some fun and ran home to my wife could cover up her plants for the freeze warning tonight. Ran Topaz Adjust in Photoshop.

359/365 – Christmas in Florida

Woody and Frosty hanging at the beach by the tree.

358/365 – Christmas shopping

I tried to capture the mayhem in the mall on Christmas eve. Didn’t need anything, just went for the entertainment and lunch.

357/365 – Radial

Engine and propellor on one of the airplanes and Fantasy of Flight in Polk City. Went there today with a friend and looked around for a few hours. Pretty cool flight museum and the fly one of the planes every afternoon. HDR processed with Photomatix and finished in CS5.

356/365 – Christmas bird

A heron in Christmas lights by a fountain in a pond at Heritage Village.

355/365 – Watching the lunar eclipse

Our friends Bryan and Chasity offered to pull set up his telescope so I set my alarm for 2am and we headed over to their house. Good times! Pretty chilly out but a great view of the lunar eclipse. Shot this with a 30 second shutter and did a little light painting with a small LED flashlight.

354/365 – Florida Reindeer

House down the street from me decorated for Christmas. They go all out for halloween too, we wonder where they keep it all. Processed with Topaz Adjust.

353/365 – Road trip tree

Took a quick look in a state park on the way back from Jacksonville. Shot with Hipstamatic on the iPhone.

352/365 – Raintree

Drove to Jacksonville with my wife to see her brother. Took this is his backyard. Processed with some Nik Color Efex Pro.

351/365 – Sunrise Horses

Saw the fog this morning and swung by the horse track for a few minutes before work. Got lucky with this pair and used one to block the direct sun.

350/365 – Christmas Rainbow

More blurry on purpose Christmas lights.

349/365 – Cold Weather

Freeze warnings and watches here the last few nights. So bundle up, go to the park and have it all to yourself!

348/365 – Fountainbird

The fountainbird never moves. I pass this fountain in Safety Harbor on the way home from work. Stopped today to shoot this. Ran a couple of the Nik Color Efex Pro filters on it.

347/365 – Redington Pier

Ran out to the beach after work to check out the weather. Winds gusting to around 30mph and the temp at 45 degrees.

346/365 – dogwalker

Went to a cool Christmas party then took Buffy for a walk. It’s too cold for her so she got to ride home. Shot with Hipstamatic app on the iPhone.

345/365 – Saturday market flowers

At the Saturday market downtown. Got some tasty organic salad greens at this booth. Shot straight out of the camera except for some selective sharpening. Yum!

344/365 – Steamfire

Saw this steam coming from a building the other day. Caught it this morning as the sunrise light was hitting it.

343/365 – Xmas twist

Twisted the camera around while shooting some Christmas lights.

342/365 – Warped Reflection

Some buildings down and myself reflected in my car window.
