Met Bill at the Ale & the Witch tonight. Went to have some Swamphead Brewery beers as they we were being featured and talked to Bill for a while. Real nice guy with lots of stories to tell he pretty much makes his living busking as far as I could tell.

Same lake. No super cool sunrise today. No Sandhill Cranes trumpeting either. Got some nice fog though.

Stopped by this lake when the sky was excellent this morning. Saw some Sandhill Cranes too. No photo of that though. Two exposures blended in CS5.

Benoist Flying boat replica at the St. Petersburg Museum of History. Spent a couple hours there with some friends I shoot with. The Florida Photographic Collaborative had a show opening there today. :-)

At the MLK, Jr. Day parade in St. Petersburg, Fla. Found a spot with a slice of some strong light and set my camera on manual and waited for people to step in to the light. I was rewarded with this lady walking by.

Went to the Kite Festival in Treasure Island today. Lots and big a colorful kites and the weather was great.

Part of the memorial at Kapok Park left by friends of a young man, Logan Kushner, that drowned there a few days ago. I didn’t go there to shoot this but there it was.

Cone from an Australian pine. Small and awful to walk on barefoot. Picked it up and brought it home last time I was at Fort Desoto as I thought it was make a cool macro shot.
